Moon Palace Wedding Reviews - More Moon Palace Reviews
7/08 My husband and I along with 50 friends and family stayed at the Moon Palace in July of this year. After doing researching and looking at venues to plan a wedding back home, we decided to scrap all of our plans and have a destination wedding. With the help of a great travel agent, we finally chose Moon Palace as the location for our wedding.
From the moment we arrived the staff was wonderful. All of our guests were placed on the same side and same general vicinity; the service was amazing and the wedding coordinator was beyond belief! Eveything was better than we could have expected.
After the wedding we had a private reception, which I highly recommend. Our package came with Mariachis to play at the ceremony. The planner allowed us to have them play at the reception while the guests were eating rather than at the gazebo. The set up of the private reception was amazing. Also, the staff continuously refilled all of the buffet service platters and dessert trays as they got low. We had over 8 servers for our 50 person event...no one went without service! The staff was friendly and fun. We paid extra to have our photographer stay throughout the reception. We ended up having over 500 of the most beautiful pictures of our special day! Rachel, MI
3/08 - The most perfect day of our lives. 3 days before the wedding we met with our wedding coordinator who went through everything with us - flowers, cake, music, etc. Although you can have your wedding meal in one of the restaurants we wanted a more private evening so we paid $42 per person to have a private buffet on a terrace - it was amazing. But before that was the ceremony
we were married at the second to last gazebo - very private. We didn't see any other guests although people were waving and shouting congrats on the way (on the carriage). We got the mariachi band - they were brilliant and very pleasant. The judge was a nice man and put us at ease, the gazebo was beautiful with the lovely flowers (which I'm sure you would pay a fortune for over here), the red carpet, the covered chairs etc. I could go on and on forever there were no nerves and it was just perfect.
Our photographer was nice and the photos came out beautifully.
Our buffet would have fed about 30 people. We had a bartender, a waiter, a chef cooking fresh pasta, and two guys to do whatever - all perfect.
We had a l ovely room in the Sunrise area, we only walked over to the Nizuc side once and it somehow didn't seem quite as nice. The bed was huge and comfortable, the jacuzzi was lovely, lots of nice hot bubbly baths, the mini bar was great filled as soon as it was running out - coke, sprite, beer, water. The shower was nice. The maids did a really good job and she always made the cute towel animals.
The pool was beautiful with plenty of chairs, drink service was nice. The beach was seaweedy but nice for long walks.
I would definitely recommend a wedding at Moon Palace to anyone. We loved it!! D.T. Minn.

6/08 I decided to forgo the big expensive wedding and get married in a small ceremony at the Moon Palace. I chose the Moon Palace because we wanted a place where everyone could afford to go and have a good time for a week. So we invited just our immediate families, which was 15 people total.
Everyone had a really great time. The staff at the Moon Palace is very friendly and hardworking. The fact that the MP is all-inclusive means that everyone could eat and drink as much as they want. The bars and restaurants were fully staffed, so it was not difficult to get what you needed.
Overall I was very happy with my wedding at the MP. They really do take care of all the details for you, so it seems to be much less stressful than the traditional wedding. You have to show up at least 3 days before your wedding date. You meet with the wedding coordinator, who is very good, and choose flowers, take a blood test and order any extras for the ceremony (extra flowers, photo packages, etc). The photographer and videographer were both excellent and very professional. My mother-in-law sang to musical accompaniment that we provided on a CD and my brother played the guitar. But we also had a full 10-member mariachi band there, which was really cool. Everyone said how awesome they were. The judge who performed the ceremony was also great and the ceremony was in perfect English, with a charming accent. We read our own vows. After the ceremony, they take pictures of the couple and family. Then they move to the beach and take photos of the couple there.
My only complaint about the wedding was the selection of restaurant for the dinner afterward. I got married in the last ceremony of the day (6pm?). Initially I wanted the open-air terrace and then I started to imagine in-laws and others complaining about the heat and sweat, and I changed my mind and opted for the indoor buffet style place... despite the fact that I think it's BS that I can't have table service for my family at my wedding. Well, while the couple is on the beach getting photos taken, my family headed to the restaurant to get seated. When I got there, I learned that they had planned to have our group of 15 seated at two different tables and only put us together when someone in our party protested. It was just bad planning on their part. But mostly I didn't like the small choice in restaurants when there are 10 restaurants total on the property, some of them very nice (the golf course restaurant, for example, would have been beautiful).
Overall, I was very happy with the wedding services and the resort in general. If I had to do it all over again, I would still do it there, I would just fight tooth and nail for a better restaurant the night of the dinner.

Beaches Negril Wedding Reviews- more Beaches Negril reviews
7/08 My husband and I just returned from our wedding/honeymoon at Beaches in Negril. It was the most beautiful day of our lives and it was made special by the staff at Beaches. Everyone was very attentive to our needs and we got exactly what we wanted. Andrea (one of the wedding coordinators) was patient, kind, and made us feel at ease about our important day. We wanted to get married on the beach by the water and they made it happen. We had such a wonderful time. The photographer was excellent and we had to buy more pictures than we originally planned because they were beautiful. Our party of 32 had such a good time. Not only was the wedding perfect, but our trip was perfect. Everyone got to know our names and catered to our every need. The bartenders, staff, bell boys, managers, waiters and waitresses were very nice to our families. The children loved the kids' activities and they had a ball with Elmo and friends. They participated in daily activities, parades, dances etc. I cannot say enough good things about our trip to Jamaica!!!!! Erica, CO

11/07 Just returned from Beaches Negril and our
Wedding. Andrea, the wedding coordinator and Nicola, the photographer were wonderful. We had 52 guests attend the wedding and they all enjoyed themselves very much. One downfall was that many of our guests were waiting a very long time to check into their rooms, but were upgraded graciously to compensate for the wait. We stayed in the 1 bedroom oceanfront suite which was very comfortable. The resort was not crowded at all. The staff was so friendly and very accomodating for our guests. Some restaurants were really good and some were routine, but you have to keep an open mind and make the best of everything. The tours offered were plentiful, but make sure you do not book a shopping trip on a Sunday as there were no shops open. The gift shop was limited in what was in stock so I do recommend going to the vendors on the beach for better deals and they have more to offer. Overall, we had a wonderful time. Barb, MI
