REVIEWS 8/08 We spent 5 nites at the RIU in Ocho Rios, Jamaica and it was great. The rooms were very nice and comfortable. The views were breathtaking. Everything was kept really clean and the bar staff was great. My only issue was with some of the food. I realize that with an all-inclusive you can't expect premium dinners but I thought they could have been a litlle less repetitive on the dinner buffet. The Mandaly restaurant was dissappointing. I thought since it was reservations required it would be a step above the buffet and it was not much more then your average take out chinese food. The best food was at lunch, between 12 and 2 they opened up the jerk chicken hut on the beach and that is what I ate for lunch everyday. Service was great, maids, bartenders and wait staff. Lovely hotel and I am looking forward to visiting another RIU! Jan, TN 8/08 Just returned home from Riu Ocho Rios. This place is paradise. It is so amazing you couldn't ask for more. A real 5 star hotel with everything you need. Food was amazing, staff was amazing accomodations were great. Always something to do. The shows at night are fabulous. There is a casino that was great too. The beach is outstanding. Can't wait to go back! John, MN
