Reviews 8/08 This hotel is beautiful. Check in was very easy and the front desk people were very efficient and professional. Our room was very nice with a partial ocean view. The pool was nice, although there were some missing tiles. The beach was well taken care of and if you walk to the left when facing the ocean you can walk for about a mile or a mile and a half and you will find some nice little coves, it feels like your own little ocean. The food was good. We only ate at the buffet and the Cajun restaurants. The buffet was buffet food although I thought the pizza was pretty good for island pizza. The coconut shrimp in the Cajun were outstanding. The steaks were a little chewy. The snorkling was pretty good. There are three sets of rocks just outside the rope with lots of fish, eel, and we saw a starfish. Overall I was very happy with the resort. I have stayed at Couples 4 times and never thought I would find a place that I would like as much, but for the price, the Iberostar is a good deal. I have been traveling the caribbean for 18 years and this may be my new favorite place. We will be returning in the spring! Marsha, Cinci ******** 5/08 Wonderful property with a wonderful staff. We never heard the construction. The property was beautiful - in typical Iberostar fashion. The employees of Iberostar - all of them- not just the entertainment staff - were absolutely fabulous - second to none. Deb, NE
