8/08 Sun Palace is a fabulous resort with the beautiful white sand and aqua blue water. We were very impressed from our arrival to our departure. Staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. All of the restaurants were extremely good as well as the service of the waiters. Very nice beach and three lovely infinity edge swimming pools. Plenty of activities around the hotel if you wanted to do something besides lounge around and relax. Adult atmosphere made the resort more relaxing and enjoyable. Lovely rooms that where extremely clean. Very contemporary hotel design and decor which I loved. Simply fabulous!
There are several other Palace resorts just down the way from our hotel. Just take the local bus for transportation to another Palace resort. You have access to their pools, restaurants and other facilities and it’s all included. Wonderful vacation, I can’t wait to go back. Julie & Mike, Texas

8/08 My husband and I had such an amazing time at the Sun Palace on our honeymoon. The hotel is beautiful and always clean and the staff was awesome. When we checked in I was given a flower and we both had a glass of champaigne. Our room was amazing. We went on a couple of the free tours. We just did 2 of them because we wanted to be at our hotel most of the time. We enjoyed them, but at the end of the day we wanted to be back at the resort. Some of the tours were really long. The hotel also puts on shows almost every night. We werent going to go at first, but then we did to see what they were like and they were actually very good! I would recommend at least going to the celebrity show if they always do the same shows. The pools were really nice and the poolside service was great. The Sun Palace is definitely the best resort I have ever stayed at! I would recommend this hotel to anyone! Especially if you are traveling without kids... VERY RELAXING!! Debbie, MI

4/08 We just returned from Sun Palace. The beach is one of the best and the pools can get crowded, but you can always find a couple of chairs somewhere. People did reserve their favorite chairs early in the morning. We roamed most of the day between pools and beach. The food was good - nothing all that spectacular but nothing horrible. The food at the Italian restaurant was not worth my husband getting all dressed up for. They have some tables in nicely lit coves but we were seated in the center of the room with very bright overhead lights. Not a good mood enhancer for the evening you dressed up for. You didn't have to make reservations. Each morning we had a note left reminding us of our free tours and that we should come to the lobby for more information - we just ignored them and no one contacted us. Overall, a very nice relaxing vacation. It's nice that it's adults only. Jessica, NM

2/08 Spent six days at Sun Palace and found the staff, service, and property to be outstanding. The food is very good in each of the restaurants and provides plenty of variety (Mexican, Steak, Italian, Asian) as is the room service 24x7. The staff is very friendly and extremely accommodating. The beach is large, the water clear and bright blue and the soft white sand wonderful. The lifeguard works tirelessly to secure a chair and umbrella for every guest. We found the pool water a very comfortable warm. People who think that just because it is “all inclusive” that you do not need to tip should think again. A dollar to the person bringing you a drink or a few dollars to the waiter is a small courtesy that means so very much to these very hard working folks. Believe it or not these folks work very hard for very little, so the few dollars you bring their way means so much to them and their families.
Since the hotel is only about 250 rooms there is only one breakfast buffet restaurant. Eggs-omelets-pancakes to order, fruits, bacon-ham-sausage & potatoes. At lunch fresh fish-chicken-beef cooked to order and a wonderful selection of other choices. Pool bar offers a good BBQ. Dinner provides 4 restaurant choices, Italian- Mexican indoors and Steak-Asian both under the stars. The service at all the restaurants is EXCELLENT! and we found the food much better than our expectations for a Mexican hotel.
We had an ocean/pool view and balcony. All rooms are nicely appointed, recently renovated & have Jacucci tubs. In-room liquor dispensers are a nice touch and the never empty beer refrigerator is a treat.
The pool and beach water are delightfully warm. Hostess service at the pool was frequent so tip a buck for drink service. Two different pool areas, the “activities pool” has a swim-up pool bar and poolside activities are adequate without being obnoxiously abundant. The second pool is for those who like the quiet time at the pool.
Jeff, IL
